Waiting on Wednesday

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly meme

It's a chance to spotlight books we are eagerly anticipating.

The Hiding Place
by David Bell
Publisher: Penguin
Publication date: October 2, 2012
Genre: Adult Fiction/Suspense/Thriller

A shallow grave holds the deepest secrets in the new suspense novel from the author of Cemetery Girl .
The twenty-fifth anniversary of her brother's disappearance and murder has Janet Manning on edge—especially when a detective and a newspaper reporter start asking questions, opening old wounds and raising new suspicions. Soon, years of deceit will be swept away, and the truth about what happened to Janet's brother will be revealed. And the answers that Janet has sought may be found much closer to home than she ever could have imagined...

I am super excited about this new novel from David Bell. I read Cemetery Girl last year and loved it! You can see my review here. David has a gift. He quickly draws you into the story as he weaves mystery and suspense into his tale. This is a standalone novel and I am hoping to bring you an early review of it!

Ooh...sounds appropriately creepy. Will have to watch for it! As for me, lotsa stuff to be waiting on, one in particular would be "The Girl Who Fell Beneath Fairyland and Led the Revels There" by Catherynne M. Valente. Can't wait!

I'm not a thriller person ordinarily, so this isn't my thing. That is really cool about the reflection and no person, though! I hadn't noticed personally. Dualed has something similar going on. The girl's shadow is doing something different.

Sounds pretty interesting. It's always so excited when you find out an author you love is putting out a new book! :) Standalones are nice too, since it seems most books anymore are in long series that you have to wait forever to find out what happens next in. Anyway, great pick!

New follower, nice to meet you!

I agree! Just the blurb alone has its suspense and mystery, hope you'll get this book soon! Though I'm not much a fan of cemeteries but ah well, Happy Wednesday!

Ooooh, it definitely looks interesting! I love mysteries! It's summary reminds me of one of Linwood Barclay's stories actually but I'm definitely hoooked! I wanna know what happened! :D

Thanks for sharing and for posting on my WoW!
